Created by The Outdoor Foundation and supported by a diverse coalition of public, private and not-for-profit partners, Outdoor Nation and its community of Outsiders are committed to increasing and expanding youth participation through entertainment, education, engagement and action - especially among urban communities and communities of color - resulting in a healthier, more active generation.

Visit Outdoor Nation online - www.outdoornation.org - where you can network with outdoor leaders, create outdoor clubs and groups and even earn free gear just for giving your opinion. Twice a month, Outsiders will be asked for their feedback on a range of outdoor issues and, in exchange, get free outdoor stuff.

ON LAND.

On June 19 and 20, 2010, Outdoor Nation made history. The Outdoor Nation Youth Summit was the largest and most diverse event of its kind in America's history. For the first time, more than 500 young leaders from across the country joined together to address the growing disconnect between youth and the outdoors. Over the two-day event in Central Park NYC, youth delegates set a national outdoor agenda, outlined priorities, actions and ultimately launched a youth-driven outdoor movement. Youth delegates developed strategic ideas and top solutions and are now working locally to make their ideas a reality.
